Žabljak - Last Day
Today is our last day here in the mountains of Montenegro and we are blessed with sunny skies and warmer temperatures, warmer than it has been for the last week anyway. Tomorrow we take a bus to Podgorica the capital of Montenegro 🇲🇪 for a week. We are really looking forward to exploring the city and a couple day trips in the area as well. Źabljak was a wonderful stop and we have really enjoyed the hikes and walks around this beautiful little mountain town.
Durmitor National Park is something that you really should see, it is so beautiful and much less crowded than other parts of Europe. We did enjoy escaping the heat, and experiencing such a quick change in the weather was a bit of a shock to us. We did get to see some snow on the mountains which was nice. The people in this small little town were so friendly, we said goodbye to some of the staff of our favorite little breakfast place this morning. It is nice staying somewhere long enough for a little connection to be made. Our waiter today asked if we wanted anything else, Annette wanted another cappuccino and he gave it to us free of charge, what a pleasant surprise.
For anyone that is considered Montenegro as a place to visit, make sure and put Žabljak on your list of places to visit.
