Advantages - Slow Travel
The weather this morning was a bit rainy with thunderstorms in the area. We enjoyed the brief light show of lighting and the rolling thunder that followed as we slowly got up this morning. The rain is surely welcome here as it has been dry.
Enjoying a cup of coffee and talking with Annette is so enjoyable in the morning. We enjoy the slow peaceful start of a day. While we do want to see and experiencing as much as possible while we are visiting an area, not having pressure to make sure we see it all in a short amount of time is wonderful. Mornings like this make the slow travel lifestyle we have chosen as our retirement so lovely.
Once the rain did subside, we had a wonderful breakfast and coffee as we continued our slow start to the day. The weather was still gloomy, but the storm clouds moved on and we took a nice walk to the grocery store for a beef roast that she has been wanting to cook. The butcher behind the counter let us know that that he is out and tomorrow would be good to come. Again this is fine as I suggested we go out tonight for a repeat of a wonderful dish we had last week.
Not having time stress is such a blessing and being flexible makes for a wonderful visit wherever we happen to be.
